  1. Great episode, as always. I enjoyed Tony’s comments and, as ever, Michael’s and Luke’s comments. All the more fun as this was recorded before the ep. on Living in Harmony.

Have to admit to totally adoring the Girl Who was Death. It was the first full, proper ep. I saw. ITV was doing a “Best of British” season in the 1980s, I’d guess around 1982, because it was before the Channel 4 repeats in 1984. For some reason they chose this ep., probably the least representative ep. of the Prisoner (except for Living in Harmony). But I loved it!

I agree with you all on Kenneth Griffith, who is awesome, and Justine Lord. And the scene in the pub is the best ever.

In 1989, I spent several hours driving around the locations seen in this ep., in the Borehamwood area, with my brother, sister, and a friend. So much of it was exactly as you see in the episode, though sadly the pub that McGoohan drinks in had already gone. The Mop and Brooms, though, which McGoohan drives through when he is being chased by Justine Lord, was still there, and I remember enjoying a particularly nice pint, and egg and chips!
