  1. The nocturnal forest scenes such as the lake are indeed to die for. The aliens’ invariable choice of such settings to enact their harebrained plots is one of my favourite aspects of the series, what with the scope for their beautiful glittering vehicles to lurk or scud about so mysteriously and their costume-time-sharing occupants to skulk among the trees. It’s rather sad that the intruders are even more incompetent than the pillocks trying to repel them, invariably resulting in the loss of their glorious craft and an ignoble gormless demise under close questioning at SHADO HQ.

  2. Hi all, thanks for another great podcast. This is one of my favourite episodes – I think it was shown at a Gerry Anderson convention I went to in the 1980’s- with a cheer from the crowd when the UFO was destroyed in the lake battle…that is one of my all-time favourite sequences, love the music accompanying the alien too. I look forward to the next podcast. It was great hearing Andrew Smith too.
